About Me

I'm Andrea. I'm an elementary principal and curriculum director in a rural district in eastern Iowa. My husband Eric (also an educator) and I have two children: Emma and Kaiser. We stay busy chasing them around rooting for their various teams for a variety of sports. You can usually catch us rooting for the Bobcats, Iowa Hawkeyes, or Chicago Cubs. I am passionate about finding ways to best meet the needs of ALL students so they are able to succeed. I formerly spent time co-moderating #IAedChat on Sunday nights on Twitter. This blog was active and updated when I was an instructional coach and professional development leader from 2014-2017. I continue to love learning and trying new things. Shoot me a message to reach out!
